Tuesday, 20th October 2026, 11:36

Rain, mud, and plenty of smiles! Our pupils had a fantastic time on their recent pumpkin picking adventure, embracing the autumn weather as they searched for the perfect pumpkins and explored the corn maze. Their resilience, enthusiasm, and excellent behaviour made the day a huge success, creating lots of happy memories and muddy fun along the way!

The pupils from Olsen House School had a fantastic day on their recent pumpkin picking trip. Although the weather was rainy and the fields were extremely muddy, this only added to the excitement and adventure of the day.

Wrapped up in waterproofs and wellies, the pupils embraced the autumn conditions and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the pumpkin patch. There was great excitement as they searched through the fields to find the perfect pumpkin, carefully choosing from a variety of shapes, sizes, and colours. Many pupils proudly carried their pumpkins through the mud, showing determination and plenty of enthusiasm despite the challenging conditions and occasionally getting lost in the corn maze.

Throughout the trip, the pupils represented Olsen House School brilliantly. They demonstrated positive attitudes, resilience, and excellent behaviour, making the most of every opportunity despite the wet weather. The smiles, laughter, and muddy boots were a clear sign of how much everyone enjoyed the experience.

Overall, the pumpkin picking trip was a huge success. It provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to enjoy the outdoors, experience the autumn season, and create lasting memories with their friends. The children returned to school tired, muddy, and very happy, with plenty of stories to tell about their pumpkin adventures and their time getting lost in the corn maze.
