The 2026 group of Year 11 leavers at Brookways School gained an impressive 143 qualifications, averaging almost nine qualifications per pupil and reflects success across a wide range of academic, vocational and personal development pathways. Highlights included:
- Pupils achieved 44 GCSEs in subjects including English, maths, science, geography, computer science, iMedia and statistics.
- Every pupil achieved a qualification at Entry Level 3 or above in both English and maths
- 69% secured qualifications at Entry Level or above across all three core subjects of English, maths and science.
Alongside their academic studies, pupils gained a broad range of vocational and personal development qualifications, including The King’s Trust Award, Laser Learning Awards and BTECs in areas such as construction, personal growth and wellbeing, childcare, art and design, home cooking and sport.
A particular highlight this year was one student who achieved an outstanding set of GCSE results, including six Grade 6s in subjects such as Geography, History and English Language, alongside a Grade 5 in Religious Studies. These achievements were complemented by a range of BTEC qualifications, demonstrating excellence across both academic and vocational learning.
The achievements of Brookways pupils extend beyond their examination results. Students have now progressed to a variety of exciting post-16 destinations, including Level 1 and Level 2 courses in public services, plumbing, mechanical engineering, hairdressing, aquatics and fisheries. One pupil is also moving on to study A-levels.
These outcomes are a testament to the hard work, resilience and determination of the young people at Brookways School, as well as the support of staff and families. They reflect the school’s commitment to helping every student gain meaningful qualifications, develop confidence in their abilities and move forward into education, training and future careers with optimism and purpose.
