This week has been a busy and exciting one for careers. Our Year 10 students have started their college visits, with a trip to Bury College to explore what the college has to offer and to learn more about the courses they may be interested in for the future.
Meanwhile, our Year 11 students, having now completed their exams, have begun their travel training. This has included planning routes, identifying destinations, and working out the best ways to get there independently.
On Tuesday, students travelled by bus to Bolton. They were required to identify the best place to catch the bus and, for the return journey, used the destination boards to determine which stand they needed in order to get the correct bus back to school.
On Wednesday, our students travelled by tram into Manchester. As part of the journey, they researched tram zones and identified the correct stops to reach their chosen destination. During the trip, they enjoyed visiting a comic store. They also spent time at the Arndale Centre, where they bought their lunch, giving them valuable opportunities to develop skills in social interaction and managing finances
