Fernways School
SurreyUniform Policy
At Fernways School, we provide all branded uniform items and PE kits to ensure our students have a consistent and recognisable appearance. Families are responsible for supplying non-branded essentials such as shirts, trousers, skirts, and footwear. Students have the option of wearing a shirt or a branded polo shirt. There is also the option of wearing a blazer and/ or tie. All students are expected to wear black or grey trousers or skirt. Wearing the Fernways uniform is more than just a dress code; it represents a shared pride in belonging to our school community.
Our uniform policy is designed to:
- Foster a strong sense of pride and support an environment conducive to high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ensure that students feel comfortable, safe, and confident throughout their school day.
- Make it easy to identify students both on and off the school premises.
- Respect and celebrate the diverse social, religious, and cultural backgrounds of all students, ensuring no one feels excluded.
- Promote equality and unity among all members of the school community.
- Shield students from social pressures related to fashion and personal attire.
- Build a cohesive and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels a valued part of Fernways.
By upholding these principles, our uniform helps create a positive and welcoming school culture where every student can thrive.
